"Real land of the Tiger" as it says on the park gate is truly a mesmerizing Tiger Haven for all big cat lovers.
180kms from Nagpur, it got it's National park status in 1955. "Tadoba" - name of a god worshiped by the tribes living in the forest & the "Andhari" river meandering through the forest give the name to the park - Tadoba Andhari Tiger Reserve (TATR).
Spread across 625sqkms of Chandrapur District, one can be sure enough to spot a Tiger with atleast 6 to 8 safaris.
The park is divided into a handful of zones - Moharli, Telia, Jamunzura, Aswal Heera, Kolsa, Katezari, Jamunbodi, Panderpauni, Navegaon and Vasanth Bhandara to name a few..........
I organise group / personalised photo tours to Tadoba for "Bangalore Photography Workshops" (www.teambpw.com).
Here are a few images made on photo tours with our participants of 2012.
