These Chameleon images were made at a farmhouse of a friend near Anekal, must say a very photogenic creature.
A few facts about them - Chameleons (family Chamaeleonidae) are a distinctive and highly specialized clade of lizards. They are distinguished by their parrot-like zygodactylous feet, their separately mobile and stereo scopic eyes, their very long, highly modified, and rapidly extrudable tongues, their swaying gait, the possession by many of a prehensile tail, crests or horns on their distinctively shaped heads, and the ability of some to change color. Uniquely adapted for climbing and visual hunting, the approximately 160 species of chameleon range from Africa, Madagascar Spain and Portugal, across south Asia, to Sri Lanka, have been introduced to Hawaii, California and Florida, and are found in warm habitats that vary from rain forest to desert conditions.

Scroll away to find out why !
This was on a evening safari on 7th July, this was the day I got my Canon 30D 3 years back.
Dipti, Dev & me began the safari at 4pm from the Jungle Lodges at Kabini. Just as we entered
the jungle Dipti whispered "Your son has always been lucky for you & today you will surely
find a Leopard". Before I could answer back the watcher in the vehicle Mr.Afsar continuously
whispered Leopard, Leopard, Leopard...... this was it, he was right in front of us barely 30mtrs away. Spent more than an hour with this elusive cat & words just cannot explain how it feels to spot a cat in the wild.
One has to be there to experience it.
